Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Job Cost Records: Track all direct and indirect costs for assigned construction projects.
  • Prepare Progress Billings: Create invoices to clients based on the percentage of completion or completed contract method.
  • Process Invoices: Handle invoices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Allocate Overhead Costs: Assign overhead costs to construction projects.
  • Monitor Project Budgets: Identify cost variances and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements that accurately reflect construction-related transactions.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
  • Support Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction accounting.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
