About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Services Auditor to join our team at Withum. As a Senior Financial Services Auditor, you will play a key role in leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, and compilations to provide world-class client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
  • Conduct constructive discussions with staff on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.
  • Supervise day-to-day engagement teams on financial services engagements, which include hedge funds, private equity funds, investment managers, and broker-dealers.
  • Train and develop audit team members.
  • Research and apply specialized industry knowledge and accounting principles.
  • Identify potential improvements to client service and audit process.
  • Assist with billing and collections.
  • Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of prior experience working in the audit department of a public accounting firm.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A CPA license is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team, required.
  • Must have experience in the financial services industry.
Compensation

The compensation for this position will vary by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.

Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.

New York City ranges are from $75,000 - $105,000 annually.
