About the Role

Mackie Consultants, LLC, a leading provider of civil engineering and land surveying services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing civil engineering projects using approved computer programs and manual computations in accordance with accepted design practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Design and Analysis: Perform design and analysis for civil engineering projects, including site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water supply systems, and roadway design for private and public sector projects.
  • Design and Production: Work independently on design and production of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Design Calculations and Quantity Take-Offs: Prepare design calculations and quantity take-offs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects and attend project meetings both internally and with clients.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with project administrative activities, document controls, and project scheduling.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of civil design experience.
  • Professional Certifications: PE license preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience with state and regional regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of MicroStation preferred.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license required.
