Position Summary

The selected candidate will oversee and manage surveillance activities during their assigned shift, engaging in the monitoring and documentation of gaming operations to protect the assets of Hard Rock International and ensure a secure atmosphere for both guests and staff. Compliance with all regulatory bodies, internal control standards, and company policies is essential. The role also emphasizes the importance of upholding Hard Rock's Service Standards while fostering exceptional guest relations.


Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

(The following duties are representative of the work performed in this position and are not exhaustive.)

  • Supervise the Surveillance department during the designated shift.
  • Maintain accurate reports, logs, and video documentation.
  • Communicate any irregular activities to the Director of Surveillance.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems.
  • Ensure adherence to all surveillance policies related to accounting and internal controls.
  • Comply with regulations set forth by the Illinois Gaming Commission.
  • Protect company assets diligently.
  • Enforce the regulations of the Surveillance Department.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in training sessions as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Relevant education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.)

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in surveillance is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Candidate must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Availability to work on holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts, is necessary.
  • Prior experience in the gaming sector is required.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all casino games, accounting practices, and state regulations.
  • Experience in launching new properties or outlets is highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity with a 24/7 gaming operation is essential.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong learning aptitude is necessary, as candidates may need to complete assessments and training in surveillance operations and equipment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interpret and clarify policies and procedures.
  • Capability to observe and guide the actions of subordinates or trainees.
  • Transfers to other departments within the Casino are not permitted for Surveillance Team Members.
