Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate EmPATH Nurse to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center Inc. in Knoxville, Tennessee. As an EmPATH Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with crisis interventions and medical emergencies, obtaining vital signs and administering medications as needed.
  • Complete thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Administer scheduled, routine, and PRN medications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in daily treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health topics and treatment options.
Requirements
  • RN or LPN with current Tennessee license and experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • BSN or ANA certification as Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of psychiatric medications, diagnoses, treatment modalities, and interventions.
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing, crisis settings, and working with special populations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
