At the Helen Ross McNabb Center, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our EmPATH program. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As an LPN on our EmPATH team, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide short-term treatment and stabilization services to individuals in crisis. Your expertise and compassion will help individuals navigate challenging situations and achieve a more stable and fulfilling life.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect client care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to promote client stability and well-being.
- Collaborate with the EmPATH team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Document client information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing and current licensure in Tennessee.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, clinical skills, and critical thinking.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with stamina and physical endurance to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and able to handle stress, with excellent observational skills and knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
- Competitive starting salary of approximately $22.32/hour based on relevant experience and education.
- Sign-on bonus available.
- Rotating shifts, including weekends and scheduled holidays, with regular attendance and punctuality expected.
