Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Controls Technician to join our team at A-Line Staffing Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining machines for efficient operating conditions and minimizing downtime, repairing machines, equipment, and facilities as required, and adhering to TS14001 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

∙ Perform initial checkout and startup of automated equipment.
∙ Troubleshoot a variety of electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
∙ Modify or update existing equipment, and perform occasional equipment installation.
∙ Have basic computer skills with MS Office, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
∙ Provide required maintenance documentation reports in a timely and accurate manner.
∙ Have basic Robot and PLC programming skills, and work safely using all available safety equipment.
∙ Troubleshoot equipment using PLC, diagnose problems, and determine the extent of repairs necessary, obtaining assistance if required.
∙ Have the ability to work with management on a professional level, and follow required work instructions and procedures.
∙ Maintain backups of all programs for PLC and robots, and electrical prints and ladder logic.
∙ Manage downtime situations to completion, and operate all machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
∙ Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by supervision.

Requirements:

∙ Associates degree in Manufacturing preferred.
∙ Automation, monitoring, and repair background preferred.
∙ Functional and applicable knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
∙ Thorough knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems and standards, failsafe design standards, and how various transducers operate, as well as various electro-mechanical devices.
∙ Strong knowledge of Mechanical transfer lines in both pneumatic and hydraulic application.
∙ Computer literacy, familiar with Windows operating system, and exceptional troubleshooting skills.
