Job Title: Automation Controls Specialist
Job Summary:
At Optimal Inc., we are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC, robot, and other automation problems, updating program backups for automation, and programming new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems using Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations.
- Update program backups for automation and program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems.
- Coordinate automation campaigns and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and implement new automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix).
- Electrical background (electrician or technician).
- Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
