Automation Controls Specialist

Job Summary:
A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Automation Controls Technician to join our team. As an Automation Controls Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining machines for efficient operating conditions and minimizing downtime. You will also repair machines, equipment, and facilities as required, while adhering to TS14001 requirements.
This is a Non-Exempt position, paid on an hourly basis with the opportunity for overtime pay. The Automation Controls Technician will perform initial checkout and startup of automated equipment, troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and modify or update existing equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial checkout and startup of automated equipment.
- Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Repair and maintain machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Modify or update existing equipment as needed.
- Provide required maintenance documentation reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Have basic computer skills with MS Office and the ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Work safely and use all available safety equipment.
- Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs necessary.
- Obtain assistance if required.
- Have the ability to work with management on a professional level.
- Follow required work instructions and procedures.
- Maintain backups of all programs for PLC and robots.
- Maintain electrical prints and ladder logic.
- Manage downtime situations to completion.
- Operate all machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Manufacturing preferred.
- Automation, monitoring, and repair background preferred.
- Functional and applicable knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Thorough knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems and standards, failsafe design standards, and how various transducers operate.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical transfer lines in both pneumatic and hydraulic applications.
- Computer literacy, familiar with Windows operating system and Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
