Position Overview:

One Haus - San Francisco is a renowned establishment with a rich history, celebrating 30 years of culinary excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled Chef de Cuisine to spearhead our vibrant kitchen team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to delivering authentic and delectable dishes that resonate with our heritage. The Chef de Cuisine will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met while fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor the culinary team, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
  • Continuously enhance guest experiences, operational efficiency, and employee satisfaction through effective leadership.
  • Ensure all culinary creations are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
  • Design and develop the restaurant's menus, including seasonal and daily specials.
  • Efficiently manage service flow, collaborating with the dining team to elevate guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and manage inventory effectively.
  • Achieve company goals related to sales, food costs, and overall operational excellence through employee training and a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Manage staffing levels in accordance with business needs, adjusting as necessary to optimize labor costs.
  • Participate in all required meetings and uphold safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in a fine dining environment or similar establishment.
  • 3 to 4 years in a senior chef position (Head Chef, CDC, or equivalent).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; proficiency in basic mathematics is essential.
  • Associate degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with P&L management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant kitchen management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $120,000-$130,000 annually.
