We are excited to present an opportunity for a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic Information Technology team. This role is integral to our innovative technology firm, specializing in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control sectors. As a member of our Platform Engineering & DevSecOps team, you will contribute to the development of advanced, secure, and dependable solutions that enable our clients to achieve their objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Guidance: Offer expert technical direction and leadership to the team, making pivotal decisions that shape our technical strategy.
  • Infrastructure Development: Spearhead the design and enhancement of our platform infrastructure to align with business and client requirements.
  • System Architecture: Collaborate with architects to create scalable and resilient systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Security Integration: Lead the incorporation of security measures into the software development lifecycle, including code scanning and vulnerability assessments.
  • Policy Development: Formulate and enforce security policies and best practices in partnership with the security team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant security standards and industry regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Advocate for best practices in testing and code review to deliver robust and secure software solutions.
  • Automation Initiatives: Promote the automation of security testing and compliance processes to facilitate rapid and secure software delivery.
  • Tool Evaluation: Assess and implement DevSecOps tools to enhance the security and efficiency of our development pipelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of platform services.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying areas for innovation.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for platform processes, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior team members, supporting their professional development.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with a preference for experience in DevSecOps.
  • Ability to obtain an active Top Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Infrastructure-as-Code design.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security scanning tools.
  • Proficiency in managing containerized environments, particularly with Kubernetes.
  • AWS or Azure certifications are advantageous.
  • Expertise in Terraform, including module design and state management.
  • Experience with Helm charts and GitOps-style deployments.
  • Background in implementing secure solutions in regulated settings.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills relevant to platform development.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Technical writing skills to support proposal processes.
  • A genuine passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
