Position Overview:


The Lead Cloud Solutions Architect is accountable for innovating and implementing advanced methodologies to address complex AMC Cloud system needs and challenges.


This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting the technical infrastructure encompassing network, hardware, database, and system software components for AMC Cloud systems.

Engages in comprehensive Cloud technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, while evaluating alternative solutions.

Identifies and resolves intricate AMC Cloud program support issues.


Oversees configuration, troubleshooting, and support for infrastructure, ensuring adherence to quality and change control standards for AMC Cloud systems.

Plans, executes, and technically leads projects or significant phases of major initiatives.

Coordinates the efforts of technical support personnel in executing assigned AMC Cloud projects.

Conducts investigations and tests of substantial complexity.

Reviews literature, patents, and current practices pertinent to the resolution of assigned AMC Cloud projects.

Assesses the completion and implementation of AMC Cloud system enhancements and provides recommendations to management.

May evaluate vendor capabilities to deliver necessary products or services for AMC Cloud solutions.

Essential Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in a role focused on cloud engineering

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline.

Expertise in cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure/AWS platforms

Experience and knowledge of key Department of Defense guidelines and governance for cloud computing

A strong passion for technology coupled with a proven track record in cloud engineering, migration, implementation, and best practices

Proficient in areas related to Cloud, IT Infrastructure, Architecture, and Security.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with DoD Enterprise networks and how these solutions adapt to a cloud environment

Experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructures

Experience in deploying large distributed systems along with application architecture and engineering expertise

Experience in transitioning on-premise applications to the cloud using methods such as rehosting, re-platforming, and rearchitecting

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead effectively

Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
