Under the supervision of the Team Manager (TM) for Disability Evaluation Services, the Healthcare Consultant (HC), in collaboration with Disability Evaluation Analyst (DEA) personnel, evaluates applications for disability benefits under various state programs. The HC reviews medical histories, assesses and interprets medical documentation, and considers the potential impacts of medical or surgical interventions in relation to program criteria. The HC provides evaluations of the applicant's functional capabilities based on established program standards. The HC plays an integral role within the team and contributes to decision-making processes regarding the team's quality, workflow, and productivity.
