The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a skilled technical program consultant to serve as a Health Program Specialist I (HPS I). This role will provide support to the Division, working independently and as part of multi-division teams to provide consultative services.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of tasks to provide support to the Division, including legislation, policy, internal quality controls, business process improvements, training, and sensitive issues.
- Provide consultative services with legislation, policy, internal quality controls, business process improvements, training, and sensitive issues.
- Work with Managed Care and Specialty Mental Health Plans, Fee-For-Service, Substance Use Disorder, and Drug Medi-Cal providers.
- Travel of up to 15% is required, and overnight stays may be necessary.
- Under the direction of the Unit Chief, the HPS I will serve as a skilled technical program consultant.
- The HPS I will work independently as well as part of multi-division teams to provide consultative services.
