About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning and Startup Technician Lead to join our team at Air Products. As a key member of our Commissioning and Startup organization, you will be responsible for providing electrical commissioning and startup leadership to new plants, retrofit projects, and support turnarounds from development to start-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical commissioning and startup leadership to new plants, retrofit projects, and support turnarounds from development to start-up.
  • Coordinate activities from the Product Delivery Organization in collaboration with the regional Operations team.
  • Develop and implement work processes and strategies for commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Ensure the safety of all site personnel by utilizing the Air Products Basic Safety Practice program.
  • Provide commissioning and startup input and safety leadership for FCN's/MOC's, OPHR's, and other safety-related initiatives.
  • Lead and provide commissioning support in the new installation, existing plant modifications, on-going operations, and continuous improvement and maintenance activities for the facilities in the Region.
  • Ensure the activities related meet legal requirements and comply with Air Products safety and operations standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and formal technical training in electrical construction, maintenance, and testing is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Electrical Operations or Commissioning Field.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge of technologies supported, electrical standards, electrical safety systems, and engineering and operating procedures a plus.
  • Able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive disposition even in times of high stress and workload.
  • Solve and make good and timely decisions in high stress situations.
