Position Overview:
The Electrical Commissioning Lead is responsible for overseeing the Precommissioning and Commissioning activities within a significant LNG Project. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of electrical operations across various interconnected facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership to the electrical technicians, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Develop and implement Switching Programs for initial energization events.
- Ensure all Inspection and Test Records are accurately maintained and signed off promptly.
- Collect and document relevant changes into the Electrical Commissioning as-built records.
- Manage the Electrical Plan to address and resolve Punch List items during Commissioning Activities.
- Support the Ready for Energization and Ready for Start-up Walk-down Coordinators with electrical expertise.
- Oversee the execution of the electrical component of the Permit to Work System, including Electrical Isolation Certificates.
- Monitor the safety performance of assigned electrical technicians and promote safe electrical practices.
- Enhance the Electrical Safety Culture within the team through dedicated electrical toolboxes and safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid credentials to perform electrical work as a Tradesman.
- Experience in Electrical Switching Operations up to 13.8kV or higher.
- Proven track record as an Electrical Commissioning Supervisor on large-scale Oil & Gas Projects.
- Extensive experience with Power Plants exceeding 25MW unit ratings.
- Familiarity with facilities that utilize large Variable Speed Drives.
- Over 15 years of progressive experience in Electrical Commissioning roles.
- Knowledge of organizing electrical components within a Permit to Work System.
- Certification in NFPA 70E or equivalent training.
- High School diploma with formal technical training in electrical construction, maintenance, and testing.
- Understanding of Electrical Testing Activities necessary for MV Substation commissioning.
- Possession of a valid TWIC Card.
