About the Role:

As an Executive Director at Aqua-Tots Swim School, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our local swim school operation. This includes providing leadership and management in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service and Sales:
    • Ensure that all Front Desk and Aquatic staff adhere to our core values during all staff and customer interactions
    • Maintain a high level of customer engagement and ensure overall customer satisfaction
    • Educate customers in our 'Learn to Swim' program to sell the proper swim lessons to meet their needs
    • Oversee the management of class schedules and ensure that all staff are properly trained and equipped to deliver high-quality lessons
  • Human Resources:
    • Lead the management of staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, assessing, and scheduling
    • Ensure that all staff certifications are properly documented and current
    • Manage your own weekly schedule to accommodate the needs of the school
    • Oversee schedules, attendance, and shift coverage for all staff
  • Staff Management:
    • Build a team environment and promote our company culture among all staff
    • Ensure that all staff provide effective parent and child feedback, addresses concerns, and provides solutions
    • Follow up on any action plans created from staff reports
    • Ensure that staff meetings and in-service training are conducted regularly
  • Facility Management:
    • Ensure that the interior and exterior of the facility meet our brand standards in overall appearance
    • Ensure that the pool, pump room, and pool environment meet our brand standards in overall appearance, safety, and cleanliness
    • Ensure overall school safety for staff and customers
  • Financial/Accounting:
    • Build, manage, and adhere to the school budget
    • Adhere to all required franchise accounting and reporting procedures
    • Process and submit payroll to the accountant
  • Marketing:
    • Implement grassroots, local, and franchise-level marketing campaigns
    • Work with local marketing agencies to execute marketing strategies
    Requirements:
    • High School Graduate or GED equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Open availability
    • 2 years Management experience preferred
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Operations experience, including oversight of day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling, goal-setting, financial, and budgetary responsibility
    • Experience leading a team, including developing, coaching, redirecting, and motivating
    • Strong hospitality skills, including role modeling effective customer service behaviors and engaging with families to form relationships
    • Capable of developing others, including role modeling performance standards and explaining the rationale behind them
    • Influences by example, including setting an appropriate and positive example and maintaining a positive attitude even when times are challenging
    • Pays attention to detail, including using and maintaining a process to monitor performance and identifying mistakes by carefully attending to subordinates
    • Team Building, including motivating the team by effectively communicating goals and the rationale for those goals
    • Communicates Effectively, including consistently speaking and writing clearly and using appropriate language
    • Strong Social Skills, including engaging eye contact, smiling, excellent posture and body language, and interacting in a professional manner and showing genuine interest
