Position Overview
An Assistant Store Supervisor is an hourly employee who participates in the Management Training Program, tasked with overseeing the production and delivery of the store's products and services.

The primary objective is to acquire managerial skills with the intention of advancing to a Domino's Pizza Store Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
During the training phase, Assistant Supervisors support the manager in all aspects of store operations in alignment with company policies and standards.

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria, with or without accommodation:

  • Complete all orientation, onboarding, training, security, and driver safety program requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Adhere to all Valley Pizza, Inc. Standards and Policies.
  • Arrive at work punctually as scheduled, dressed in full uniform.
  • Understand, practice, and enforce guidelines presented in Sexual Harassment training and materials.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, liability insurance, and a functioning vehicle for delivery purposes.
  • Assistant Supervisors are fully trained in the delivery process, as delivery is required periodically.

Communication and Conflict Resolution
Maintain effective communication channels (e.g., telephone) at all times for situations requiring a quick response.

  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and progress in management levels. Attend relevant training sessions as scheduled and successfully complete class examinations.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage challenging situations involving employees and customers.
  • Engage with customers on the phone and in person in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing their problems and complaints effectively.

Operational Coordination
Oversee store production and operations during high-stress periods.

  • Input computer data using a standard keyboard and function keys.
  • Accurately receive and record customer orders within two minutes.
  • Understand and fulfill the company's service objectives.
  • Perform mathematical calculations as needed.
  • Correctly count currency, coins, and checks to provide change for customers and drivers, and prepare daily deposits.
  • Move safely and efficiently between the phone counter, makeline, and ovens within the available area.

Training and Food Preparation
The majority of your training will be on-the-job, focusing on mastering all areas of store operations, from answering calls to preparing pizzas and handling deliveries.

  • Prepare pizzas and other food items according to Valley Pizza, Inc. and Domino's Pizza standards, with the ability to make a pepperoni pizza within 60 seconds after training.
  • Utilize scales to ensure proper portioning of pizzas.
  • Manage oven operations, including loading, unloading, cutting, and boxing pizzas.
  • Direct, manage, and perform multiple tasks proficiently and competently.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and expectations.
  • Conduct inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Prepare food, including opening cans with a can opener, organizing stock in the walk-in cooler, and transporting food and dough trays to the pizza-making area.

Inventory and Reporting
Ensure sufficient supplies of food and boxes in the production area of the store.

  • Maintain adequate supplies for store operations through proper ordering.
  • Lift and move items measuring 15 inches high x 18 1/4 inches deep x 26 1/8 inches wide.
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 26 pounds.
  • Remain mobile for periods of at least three hours.
  • Print, maintain, and analyze daily computer reports for store trends and profitability data.
  • Complete accurate records and necessary bookkeeping procedures.
  • Follow instructions as directed by the General Manager and Supervisor.
  • Assist in training and enforcing all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily store operations by listening, training, motivating, communicating, and collaborating with store team members.
  • Assist in supervising all phases of production.
  • Support in hiring, training, and scheduling Team Members.
  • Perform other related duties as required to maintain store sanitation, productivity, and profitability.
  • Comply with the Nondisclosure/Noncompetition Agreement.
