About the Role

Duke University Hospital is seeking a skilled Pediatric Nutrition Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver infant and pediatric feeds as ordered, adhering to strict sanitation and quality control standards.
  • Verify new or questionable feed orders with a Registered Dietitian for accuracy.
  • Utilize standardized recipes and preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Store prepared feeds properly and deliver them to patient care areas in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including feed orders and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a biological science or Nutrition preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Food and Nutrition; or completion of a dietetics program or Bachelor's degree in a Science-related field.
  • Registration (DTR) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
