Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely completion of the monthly close process.
  • Manage the firm's trust and escrow accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial and operational controls to ensure the integrity of the firm's financial data.
  • Supervise accounting department staff, providing leadership, mentoring, and training to ensure the team's success.
  • Develop and maintain distribution worksheets, draw schedules, and review compensation to ensure fairness and equity.
  • Provide exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • At least eight years of accounting operations management experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Aderant experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
