Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely completion of the monthly close process.
- Manage the firm's trust and escrow accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal financial and operational controls to ensure the integrity of the firm's financial data.
- Supervise accounting department staff, providing leadership, mentoring, and training to ensure the team's success.
- Develop and maintain distribution worksheets, draw schedules, and review compensation to ensure fairness and equity.
- Provide exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA certification.
- At least eight years of accounting operations management experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Aderant experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
