Our customers rely on our machines to produce and convert items such as corrugated boxes, folding cartons, passports, notebooks, copy paper, board, and coated and other specialty papers.

As the Controller for BW Papersystems, you will oversee the financial operations of the Cockeysville, MD manufacturing site, ensuring accurate financial data is available to support business decision-making.

You will lead a team of 3 finance professionals, managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.

The Controller will work closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to provide financial insights and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities include leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

You will prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.

Additionally, you will oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into performance variances and recommending corrective actions.

Collaboration with site leadership is essential to develop financial strategies and business plans that drive operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Utilize ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy of data within the system.

Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting in a manufacturing context.

Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills is also required.

Excellent communication skills are necessary to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

A knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial regulations is essential.
