Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator is a vital role at InnovaCare Health, serving as the first point of contact for patients and guests upon arrival at our facilities. This position requires a unique blend of customer service skills, medical knowledge, and organizational abilities to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and visitors, manage waiting room, and ensure timely communication of any delays.
  • Manage front desk workflow, communicate with medical assistants, and maintain accurate registration.
  • Assist patients with problem-solving, including requests for interpreters, transportation services, or prescription assistance.
  • Collect patient financial payments, manage cashier box, and prepare bank deposits according to company policies.
  • Process walk-in patients, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments.
  • Manage medical records, ensure timely scanning and filing, and process requests for medical records release.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong customer service focus, effective written and oral communication skills, and teamwork orientation.
  • Organized, with ability to manage competing priorities, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Expert in computer literacy in electronic health records and ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Basic mathematical skills and safe work practices in a clinic setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2-3 years in a medical-related customer service role.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
