Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment: Ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for their appointments, taking vital signs and recording medical history as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment: Prepare exam/treatment rooms, sterilize medical supplies and equipment, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with medical procedures: Administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under the direction of our healthcare providers.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens: Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens, analyze and prepare for testing, and log results.
- Document patient care and procedures: Accurately document patient care and procedures using electronic medical records.
- Schedule appointments and communicate with patients: Schedule patients for tests, initial, and follow-up appointments, and communicate with patients regarding treatment and medication instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Certification/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized program (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA) and current BLS certification required.
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience preferred.
