Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Liaison to join our team. As a Community Liaison, you will play a critical role in promoting our facility and services to the local community, building relationships with referral sources, and ensuring the highest quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Referral Sources: Establish and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, assisted living centers, home health agencies, and community resources involved in geriatric care.
- Marketing and Promotion: Assist in the development of promotional materials for referral agencies and the community, and schedule and prepare marketing events as needed.
- Employee Training: Provide training to employees on marketing the facility in a favorable light and customer service.
- Resident and Family Satisfaction: Monitor the satisfaction level of current and previous residents and families through surveys and documentation of concerns.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities with regard to marketing, community involvement, and services provided.
- Experience: Minimum one year experience in marketing for a skilled nursing facility.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in public speaking situations.
- Independence: Ability to work independently.
- Travel: Extensive local travel required.
- Language: Ability to read and write the English language.
- Presentations: Ability to make speaking presentations on long-term care, aging, or other appropriate topics to local community groups.
- Trust Building: Ability to create trust with internal clinical teams, complete bedside assessments, and utilize internal documents to accept residents for local and surrounding skilled nursing facilities.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly reports as required.
- Community Relations: Promote internal efforts for community relations programs.
- Insurance and Safety: Must qualify for company insurance, pass a DMV check, and practice safe defensive driving skills.
