Case Manager

About the Role:The Case Manager will be responsible for assessing child safety and risk, conducting interviews and gathering information, and making in-and-out of home contacts with families and children. This role requires strong time management and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to reported allegations of child abuse and/or neglect
- Assess child safety and risk
- Conduct interviews and gather information
- Make in-and-out of home contacts with families and children
- Attend Court hearings
- Prepare case plans and conduct case plan staffing
- Author professional reports and fill out documentation
- Coordinate and monitor services
- Place children, transport children, and move a child's possessions when needed
- Manage cases throughout the respective county and assigned area
- Use a computer and the Department's Child Welfare Software Programs
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of experience as a DCS Case Aide. Additionally, the candidate must possess a Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and a valid class-appropriate driver's license.
