Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children, while also assisting them in developing life skills and achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and care to children living in the residential home
  • Assist children in developing life skills, such as behavioral management, therapeutic recreational activities, and social skills
  • Complete ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute to the development of the home's policies and procedures
  • Assist with client admission and discharge processes
  • Follow an assigned schedule for daily activities and oversee clients' completion of daily living tasks
  • Dispense medications as prescribed and complete daily progress notes
  • Maintain all DCS licensing standards required by Article 74
Qualifications:
  • Fingerprint clearance card (A.R.S. Level 1)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (in-person classes only)
  • High school diploma or higher
  • CPI certified (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • Initial health screening training
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with no restrictions
  • Personal vehicle with valid auto insurance and registration
  • Physical examination completed within 6 months
  • 3 non-relative reference letters
  • 2 years of professional references
  • Administration writing skills
  • Able to work on holidays
  • Knowledge of cooking, cleaning, organizing, supervision, laundry, and mentoring
  • Able to attend a Christian church service
  • Able to clear a criminal background check (7 years worth)
  • R.P.P.S. training
  • Pass a drug test
  • Communicable disease test
  • State of Arizona (Maricopa) food handler's card
