Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at MATHESON. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for building and improving manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve assembly and testing processes to enhance manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and forms to support assembly and testing processes.
  • Lead process improvement teams as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support Corrective Action teams/investigations and document Engineering Change Requests as required.
  • Provide training support on assembly and test skills and procedures to manufacturing technicians.
  • Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing and collaborate with design engineering on product design for manufacturability.
  • Develop quality requirements for suppliers to ensure incoming controls meet requirements.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and/or Chemical processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production personnel.
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical production issues.
Preferred Skills
  • Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems.
  • Quality assurance/control- RCA, 5 Why.
  • Vendor contact.
  • Solidworks, Inventor experience.
  • Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Product iteration experience- working with several models of equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Welding experience.
  • Computer skills: MS Suite, ERP/MRP, electronic print systems, customer portals.
