Additional duties include supporting the opening and closing of retail locations, maintaining product samples, completing assigned tasks, restocking items, and ensuring the cleanliness and visual appeal of the retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Welcome and engage with customers to create a memorable shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Open and close retail locations as required.
- Maintain a tidy and inviting shop atmosphere.
- Stay informed about merchandise throughout the day.
- Work independently with minimal oversight.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Encourage guests to join the Wine Club.
- Prepare and manage food samples, ensuring they are maintained during operational hours.
- Exhibit professional phone communication skills.
- Process merchandise and wine orders accurately and efficiently.
- Due to the high volume of visitors, the ability to multitask and remain aware of surroundings is essential.
- Must be personable and enjoy interacting with customers.
- Adhere to established standards of service.
- Maintain a clean and pressed uniform at all times.
- Be attentive to customer flow and adjust pace as necessary to accommodate guests.
- Respond to inquiries about the estate and its history with knowledge and professionalism.
- Stay vigilant regarding safety protocols.
- Fire Safety Training and CPR certification are recommended for all staff members.
- Retail Sales Associates may be asked to train in other operational areas, including the Tasting Room, Wine Bar, Tours, and Stockroom.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is highly preferred, ideally in an upscale environment.
- Excellent customer interaction and verbal communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with cash register operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to anticipating customer needs and taking initiative.
- Good judgment and multitasking abilities are essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Work environment may involve exposure to various physical risks, necessitating adherence to safety guidelines.
- Employees may work indoors or outdoors, subject to varying temperatures and conditions.
