Job Summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality diagnostic imaging for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Operate complex radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images, utilizing the A.L.A.R.A. standard to ensure optimal diagnostic yield.
  • Patient Care: Position patients safely and effectively, utilizing extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Clinical Data Review: Review patient charts and clinical data to identify potential contradictions for procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report equipment malfunctions to the department manager or Bio-Med.
  • Clerical Duties: Verify patient information, exams performed, and physician-written orders using CR, DR, and PACs.
  • Safety Training: Attend required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved two-year program in Radiology Technology from an AMA-approved school.
  • Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible, with certification obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in radiology, with consideration given to new graduates.
  • Licensure: Possess a valid RI license and ARRT certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
