Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for the effective utilization of CT scanners, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT scans, ensuring proper positioning and comfort. Maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain CT equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Contrast Injection: Administer IV contrast according to departmental guidelines, demonstrating knowledge of techniques and procedures.
- Department Operations: Assist with daily departmental operations, including scheduling and patient flow.
- Education: Formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program.
- Experience: Minimum of three to four years of radiologic experience, with special procedures experience preferred.
- Certifications: Registration by the A.R.R.T. as an RT (R)(CT) preferred, and state licensure. CPR certification (BLS) required.
