Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our retail location in the Jacksonville, FL area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations at the local level, driving business growth, and ensuring maximum branch performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead by example and inspire others to perform to their highest potential.
    • Build and manage a high-performing team, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide guidance to improve skills and address areas for improvement.
  • Branch Operations
    • Manage branch operations to maximize financial success, including maintaining employment and payroll levels, balancing work hours and overtime.
    • Conduct monthly profit and loss reviews to understand business trends, identify areas for improvement, and estimate profit projections.
    • Monitor key metrics, including equipment utilization, underperforming assets, warranty recovery, billed mechanical hours, aged receivables, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving
    • Effectively communicate information to ensure everyone on the team is on the same page.
    • Identify and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
    • Establish clear goals and expectations for the position and team members.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
    • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3-4 years of retail industry experience, preferably in a management role at a heavy equipment dealership.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (without sponsorship by the employer for a visa).
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay continuously educated on the latest EquipmentShare products and services.
