Position Summary:

As a Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in our branch operations, overseeing a team of Service Technicians. Your main objective will be to elevate customer satisfaction through effective service management and proactive communication. Acting as the representative of Resolute Industrial, you will work closely with sales teams to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery to clients in your area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer orders from the sales team or branch manager, ensuring accurate processing and timely fulfillment.
  • Provide outstanding customer experiences that encourage repeat business.
  • Install equipment as required, including setting up temporary hoses and ductwork.
  • Follow safety protocols, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Conduct equipment startups and perform essential service repairs.
  • Coordinate the pickup and evaluation of returned equipment, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Recondition equipment following established procedures and complete necessary checklists.
  • Organize and manage equipment storage within the branch warehouse efficiently.
  • Maintain and clean chillers and large air conditioning units, sourcing necessary accessories from inventory.
  • Start, troubleshoot, and repair heating and air conditioning equipment, including refrigerant circuit repairs.
  • Assist in the installation of air-cooled chillers and large HVAC rental equipment.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements in customer experience, ensuring high service quality as a growth strategy.
  • Develop and enforce service processes within the branch for consistent service delivery.
  • Create a positive work environment focused on employee development and satisfaction.
  • Communicate branch objectives, provide necessary resources, and monitor progress.
  • Implement service procedures and conduct audits to ensure operational consistency.
  • Uphold company values in all business interactions.
  • Assess and maintain service tools, PPE requirements, and branch inventory in line with company guidelines.
  • Oversee training for Service Technicians in preventive maintenance and equipment installation.
  • Regularly evaluate service operations against targets, utilizing customer feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the HVAC rental sector or a related field, ideally in a service management capacity.
  • Associate degree from an accredited vocational institution is preferred.
  • HVAC certification (2-year program or Universal Refrigeration Certificate) or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software; familiarity with MRP or rental software is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) are essential.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and mechanical aptitude.
  • A genuine interest in learning and professional development.

Work Schedule:

This role may require a rotating on-call schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Travel may also be necessary. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
