Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field. Consideration will be given to candidates with extensive relevant experience (10+ years) and/or pertinent technical certifications in lieu of a degree.

Education and Experience Requirements: Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Purpose:

To define, maintain, and support the operational policies, standards, best practices, procedures, tools, and projects for Operational Smart Grids (OSG) infrastructure, ensuring efficient, resilient, and secure operations of OSG-supported applications and facilities.

Collaborate with technical teams and external vendors to deliver operational support for a variety of enterprise services. Monitor performance to identify improvement opportunities and align operational requirements with corporate standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to all incidents, tasks, and requests to meet Service Level Agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal clients, suppliers, project teams, and technical staff to identify, design, and implement technical solutions.
  • Coordinate, provision, and install equipment across all data center locations.
  • Contribute to the design of environments for project needs or improvements.
  • Maintain infrastructure technologies following established change management processes.
  • Lead technical implementation plans for infrastructure technologies.
  • Evaluate, select, and test hardware and software products.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC-CIP regulations.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, lifecycle replacement, and inventory management.
  • Manage initial racking, cabling, and configuration of physical devices in the data center.
  • Oversee daily operations of the data center.
  • Utilize Data Center Information Management (DCIM) and automation tools.
  • Execute special assignments from OSG Infrastructure Management.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support.
  • Mentor team members professionally and technically.
  • Travel as necessary within the US and Europe.
Key Technical Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of data center best practices and standards.
  • Thorough understanding of professional standards and trends in relevant areas.
  • Ability to estimate power and HVAC loads for projects and future planning.
  • Experience in researching and developing policies, standards, and procedures.
