Job Title: Network Supervisor

Unlimited Technology is seeking a highly skilled Network Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for leading the data center and circuit provisioning teams, working with WAN engineering teams to complete network designs, and coordinating between domain and transport layers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the work of network engineers to ensure prompt and accurate services for data centers, WAN, and provisioning.
  • Manage and prioritize the work of network engineers, as well as manage external intake to ensure proper processes are followed.
  • Ensure network engineering solutions are clearly communicated to operations and change management.
  • Monitor and stay abreast of industry trends and anticipate the future direction of enterprise networks.
  • Act as a backup in the rotation for the L2&3 telecom administrators.
  • Accountable for ensuring business and technology standards, best practices, and processes are followed.
  • Responsible for workflow and delivery of projects, overseeing the integration and deployment of network technologies in local area networking, wide area networking, switching, routing, WAN optimization, Wireless, voice over IP, IP Telephony, video, and other core network services and all application infrastructure on transport network.
  • Participate in ensuring the enterprise has the capability to support new technologies and maintain high levels of network performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science, or other technical discipline. Will consider additional years of relevant experience and/or related technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Meet at least one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • AS Technical Related Degree with 10+ years' technical experience.
    • BS Technical Related Degree with 7+ years' technical experience.
    • MS Technical Related Degree with 5+ years' technical experience.
  • Required experience:
    • Networking, Networking protocols (vxLAN, vPC), Dynamic routing protocols, firewalls (Checkpoint), Security tools, scripting.
    • Experience with SDN, load balancing, DNS, (Associated certifications are highly preferred).
    • Previous experience in supervising others preferred.
    • Checkpoint firewall experience must include VSX deployments and appliance-based deployments of Checkpoint as well as other vendors.
  • Other experience:
    • Position requires a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
    • Position requires professional experience with more than one of the following areas:
    • Data Center Operations, Disaster Recover/Business Continuity Planning & Execution, Security & Compliance Management, Infrastructure Operational Policies & Procedures, and/or Technical Project Coordination.
    • Fundamental understanding of UNIX Operating Systems (OS), Linux OS, Microsoft OS, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix.
