Job Description

We are seeking a talented student engineer to join our System Integration Test (SIT) Lab in Rochester, MN. As a member of our team, you will work closely with drive development engineers and customers' engineers to bring our hard disk and solid-state drive products to market.

Responsibilities include assisting in the integration of Western Digital products into customers' environments, debugging and validating electrical and logical protocol compatibility, creating customer-facing software tools, and providing internal software infrastructure for our laboratory. This is a 6-month Co-op position that offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to life as a regular Western Digital employee.

Qualifications include being in your junior or senior year pursuing a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and experience with application-level programming or scripting using Python, Windows and UNIX / Linux server storage environments, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
