Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving processes and systems in a production and warehouse environment. This role involves optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety while minimizing costs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for repairing mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems, as well as inspecting performance and investigating problems to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on opportunities for improvement in productivity and efficiency.
  • Write investment proposals for machines, equipment, and tools.
  • Support the R&D Department in implementing and producing justified designs, including calculating production costs.
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers throughout the process.
  • Analyze projects to optimize production, troubleshoot issues, and improve quality.
  • Collect information and determine required boundary conditions.
  • Formulate and implement project plans, including experiments and outcomes.
  • Lead full-scale project management activities, including project planning and budgeting.
  • Search and analyze potential production technologies.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in assessing suppliers and purchasing negotiations.
  • Lead changes in plant layout based on new means of production or process changes.
  • Responsible for project administration and training.
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Sales, and external project partners.
  • Report project progress to management, including results, deviations, and causes.
  • Quickly respond to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including motors, conveyors, and production machinery.
  • Replace worn or defective parts to prevent machine failures.
  • Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure proper functionality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related area.
  • Experience with lathes, machining centers, drilling and grinding machines, cleaning machines, welding machines, robots, and various mounting machines.
  • Knowledge of production processes and management systems.
  • Understanding of operating principles of shock absorbers and mechanics.
  • Project management and process analysis skills.
  • PLC software principles and ERP systems.
  • Experience with Solid works and AutoCAD.
