ITW is a leading global multi-industrial manufacturing company with a rich history dating back to 1912. As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will be part of our dynamic team at our Hebron, IL plant, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

The primary focus of this internship will be to support validation efforts for new manufacturing equipment and engineering projects aimed at improving capacity in our high-growth Filtration and Infusion segments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Participate in the MRD visual management process and implement a kanban system.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes through 6S projects.
  • Conduct analysis of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for scrap reduction and downtime improvements.
  • Implement visual management on new Check Valve cells.
  • Assist in new product development and modifications as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering undergraduate student (3rd or 4th year).
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PLC programming and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and project management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
