About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contact Lens Consultant to join our team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to doctors on contact lens selection, design, and fitting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with doctors on new patients' contact lens selection, design, and fitting, ensuring optimal results and customer satisfaction.
  • Examine instrumentation files, pictures, and videos to make recommendations to doctors and resolve fitting problems on existing patients.
  • Conduct in-office training and assist with difficult contact lens fits, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Provide professional judgment and make independent tactical decisions for successful contact lens selection, design, and fitting.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, including price quotations, order changes, adjustments, cancellations, and shipping instructions.
  • Ensure proper pricing and delivery are provided, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist other staff with lens fitting and problem resolution, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Coordinate surveys of customers and provide feedback to management on new products, clinical performance, complaints, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform outbound phone sales calls and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and solicit new business.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering to integrate new developments in technologies and applications into next-generation designs.
  • Provide proper training, direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand and follow all company and manufacturer's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with attendance and safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and HIPAA-protected information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of contact lens customer service experience.
  • Active NCLE certification with ongoing specialized training and continuing education.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical/mathematical accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel infrequently for customer training, conferences, and exhibitions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual language skills for individuals assigned to international roles.
