Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance and control activities in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, focusing on programming standards, performance metrics, and browser compatibility for both English and Spanish platforms.
- Evaluate accessibility features for various content types, including blogs and videos, as required by governmental standards.
- Research and assess emerging technologies and best practices in web development, presenting findings to the designated government point of contact.
- Revise and update the technical style guide, submitting it for government approval.
- Gather and interpret accessibility metrics to aid the government in identifying key tasks for the platforms, and propose design enhancements based on these insights.
- Offer strategic recommendations for long-term improvements in design, focusing on web best practices, accessibility, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
- Facilitate web development training sessions based on an approved government curriculum for personnel and contracted staff.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 standards across all platforms, utilizing government-approved tools for ongoing content and feature updates.
