Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Lead - Stormwater Expert to join our team at McAdams in the Charlotte Metro area. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leading complex design challenges on various projects.

About the Role

This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience with stormwater management systems and civil engineering design principles. As a Project Lead, you will work closely with project managers and designers to deliver high-quality results and ensure successful project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams on stormwater management designs
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams to deliver complex stormwater projects
  • Developing and implementing innovative environmental protection strategies
  • Coordinating with clients, reviewers, and permitting entities to advance project components
  • Designing and producing civil engineering documents, including site plans, construction drawings, and specifications
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A four-year bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in water resources, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of hydrograph routing and H+H modeling
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation and drive to continuously improve yourself and your team
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with SCM design and modeling, understanding of common stormwater regulations, and exposure to ArcGIS Pro or other GIS software would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. McAdams offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
