Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Investor Relations to join our team at Ligand Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a successful investor relations strategic plan, building relationships with institutional investors and analysts, and creating a strong reputation for the company through consistent and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations plan to enhance the company's visibility and credibility among key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information about the company's performance and strategy
  • Develop and manage a strong reputation for the company through effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide critical leadership and information to help build awareness and understanding of the company's objectives, strategies, and achievements among key audiences
  • Assist in managing the overall content of the company's website, Intranet, and social media postings
  • Actively participate in and support the company's ESG initiatives, activities, and programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required and/or Master's degree preferred in communications, business, or a relevant scientific discipline
  • Eight to twelve years of relevant experience managing investor relations and corporate communications programs in a public biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • Extensive experience working with executive management, superior skills in financial analysis, oral and written communication, and relationship building
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and technically savvy in social media
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements
  • Ability to present and respond to questions about complex scientific and clinical data
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge and fluency in the biotechnology industry matters
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $185,000 to $215,000 per year, annual incentive bonus, generous equity package, and comprehensive benefits, including flexible work schedule, medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) match, stock options, bonus, and paid time leave.
