Position Overview:

This role requires a commitment to a structured schedule of 8am to 4:30pm during the initial training phase, which lasts approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Attendance is crucial during this period, and the work schedule will remain consistent post-training.

The position is fully on-site for the first 3 to 6 months. Following this period, a transition to a hybrid work model may occur, contingent upon meeting production, quality, and attendance benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

The Claims Processing Specialist will assist clients with their homeowner's insurance claims, overseeing the entire claims process from initial reporting to the completion of necessary repairs. This role demands exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively address inquiries and requests from clients, colleagues, contractors, adjusters, and agents in a timely and accurate manner. All actions related to the claim must be meticulously documented, and funds for repairs will be issued as required. Compliance with all regulatory standards is essential.

Additionally, the specialist must exhibit strong decision-making abilities, analytical skills, and promptness to ensure client needs are met efficiently.

Daily Expectations:

  • Handle approximately 25 client calls daily.
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding when dealing with frustrated customers.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and avoid interrupting clients.
  • Employ problem-solving skills to assist clients and alleviate their concerns.

For instance, in situations where a storm has caused damage to a client's home, the specialist will assess the urgency of repairs and determine appropriate financial assistance while coordinating inspections as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, administrative, data entry, or production capacity.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Proficiency with technology, including the ability to navigate multiple monitors and software applications simultaneously.
  • A typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
  • An active internet connection at home for potential future hybrid work.
