Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission and vision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient and develop individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the hospital's quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience, with Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred.
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
  • NRP certification required within 6 months.
  • AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications within one year.
  • CPI Training & Certification required within 6 months.
