Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act
  • Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe therapeutic environment
  • Identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient and develop individualized patient care plans
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and provide care that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities, including making staff assignments, serving as a clinical resource, and responding to requests for information or follow-up on patient issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • 1 year of RN experience, with Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certification required within 6 months, NRP certification required within 6 months
  • AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certification within 1 year, CPI Training & Certification required within 6 months
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State
