Job Summary and Qualifications

The Labor and Delivery Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor and their newborns. This includes:

  • Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.)
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months
  • NRP certification within 6 months
  • AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications within 1 year
  • CPI training and certification within 6 months
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State
