Agricultural Equipment Sales Specialist

Purpose:
Sell new and used agricultural equipment while providing product expertise and support to existing and new customers in addition to dealership personnel. Proactively engage customers to invest in the products and services of Deer Country Farm & Lawn, Inc.
Responsibilities:- Represent the Company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area or product group.
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the Dealership.
- Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate to leadership.
- Actively seek competitive customers, attempting to maximize conversion.
- Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
- Adhere to the defined sales process including call reports & follow up after the sale in a timely manner.
- Responsibly maintain and operate assigned company vehicles and equipment if applicable.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events and conduct equipment field demonstrations.
- Monitor trends in customer's business activities and timely communicate to leadership.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Attend applicable sales meetings, training events and seminars.
- Will maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
- Consult with customers on general farming practices and the correct equipment to perform them.
- Answer telephone inquiries and complete all sales orders and documentation promptly, thoroughly, courteously, and accurately.
- Demonstrate a genuine concern for the company as a whole by promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Exhibit outstanding communication skills and cooperate with other departments and locations within the company.
- 1+ years equipment sales experience.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
- Excellent customer relationship skills and ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
- Ability to use standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Capable of analyzing and interpreting basic sales reports.
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Valid insurable driver's license.
