Overview:
Under general supervision, the Nutritional Services Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality food services tailored to meet the dietary needs of diverse age groups, from infants to seniors. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals, maintaining cleanliness in the dish area, and performing various sanitation tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Maintains a collaborative work environment that reflects positively on Trinity Health. 2. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to patient safety and food handling. 3. Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions, both written and verbal. 4. Basic mathematical skills for calculations. 5.
Manual dexterity and coordination to operate food service equipment and serve meals.
6. Strong communication skills with a courteous demeanor towards patients and staff.Working Conditions:
1. Operates in a clean, well-ventilated kitchen environment. 2. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. 3. Involves lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. 4. Frequent physical activity including balancing, pushing, and reaching. 5. Must adapt to varying temperatures and humidity levels while working. 6. Handles food in compliance with safety and sanitation standards. 7. Primarily works indoors. 8. Requires good near vision and hearing capabilities. 9. Adheres to annual health directives as per organizational requirements.
Education and Experience:
1. Previous experience is not mandatory. 2. On-the-job training will be provided. 3. A high school diploma is preferred but not essential. 4.
Completion of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six months of hire and every three years thereafter.
