Nutrition Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients using the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Nutrition Care Process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret nutrition care orders per approved department nutrition care manual and implement consistently inpatient education and meal service.
• Use the steps in the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to interpret nutrition screens, perform initial and follow-up nutrition assessments, and implement interventions and the personalized nutrition plan of care.
• Provide instruction and counsel to patients and/or significant others according to protocol and documents appropriately.
• Assume all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition.
• Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program.
• Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
• Maintains a current License to practice Dietetics in the state of Iowa.
• Maintains current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
