Job Overview

The Graduate Department of Nursing is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the identification, acquisition, and maintenance of clinical placement sites and preceptors for students across various Nurse Practitioner specialty program tracks. This role involves both virtual and in-person engagements with potential and current clinical partner site personnel. The selected candidate will be responsible for generating comprehensive reports and maintaining effective communication with the Associate Chair of Clinical Education within the Department of Graduate Nursing. Travel to clinical sites within designated geographic areas is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit potential preceptors to serve in the capacity of a Preceptor.
  • Facilitate connections for Nursing Practice students to enhance their clinical experiences.
  • Focus on building relationships that ensure reliable clinical placements, particularly in challenging areas and specialties.
  • Support and strengthen relationships with established clinical partners.
  • Regularly connect with sites to address any operational or student-related concerns.
  • Conduct site visits consistently to nurture and improve partnerships.
  • Maintain thorough tracking of clinical partnership placements and prospective future placements.
  • Document communications and visits with sites and key contacts meticulously.
  • Provide regular written reports and maintain effective communication with the Associate Chair of Clinical Education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in direct sales or clinical site placement.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in an academic setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and word processing software.
  • Ability to organize tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a professional demeanor.
  • Familiarity with clinical facilities.
