Position Overview:
The Orthopedic Clinical Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working closely under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position involves engaging in various essential tasks aimed at supporting patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and assist with daily living activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions.
- Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients.
- Facilitate patient transportation as needed.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with relevant experience in a clinical setting. Candidates should possess a minimum of six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical exposure as outlined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II. Enrollment or completion of a Clinical Technician II program or equivalent is also required. Student nurses who have completed their medical/surgical clinical experiences and coursework are eligible.
Certification Requirements:
Current BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional Skills:
Applicants should have completed at least six educational hours pertinent to their current role.
